About Us
“As a bodyworker and designer of therapeutic spaces, I strive to provide intentional and approachable healing experiences for people to authentically, safely, and effectively process their physical and emotional stress so they can emerge feeling empowered to walk in their purpose and ready to receive joy.”
-Margaret, owner of Forest Floor Wellness
After seven years of teaching middle school math in public schools, Margaret shifted careers to something that combined her fascination with the human body design and her compassion to ease pain in others. While teaching, she received her certificate in therapeutic massage from CenterPoint Massage and Shiatsu School and Clinic. Life took her to South America to teach for two years but when she returned, she continued practicing massage and started Pucon Massage in 2016.
In December 2017, she visited the 612 Sauna Society pop up and the rest is history. The healing power of one winter sauna session inspired her to immediately sign up to be a 612 Sauna Society volunteer. For the next two sauna seasons she was an eager sauna apprentice, absorbing all she could about sauna operations and etiquette. She used what she learned and designed the Atacama, keeping accessibility and beauty in mind. The Atacama launched in September 2019.
The body truly is a beautifully designed machine, made by and from nature, that has the power to heal itself. We believe that given knowledgable practitioners and a space that supports the body and emotion, we can ground ourselves, find deep calm and nourishment, and begin to let go of what is holding us back.

Ben is a familiar face in the Twin Cities sauna community.
An admirer of tradition and a lover of thermic bathing, Ben traveled to Lithuania to formally learn and practice the art of pirtis, the Lithuanian sauna bath ritual. Honoring the flow of the seasons, pirtis lets the whisks and the steam do the healing, no additional tools required.
